MODULAR PRODUCTS DIVISION ( MPD )

The ardous needs of the core sector industry requires out of box solutions. Time is always a constraint for such industry as the plant has to be up and running to the best possible and some times over capacity utilization. The motto of MPD is to provide modular solutions which are ready to fit in shortest time to combat wear and tear.

The capability of MPD includes the following :-

1. COMPOSITE WEAR PLATES :

WRTPL composite plates are bimettalic plates with special claddings as under-

a. X’tralife Wear Plates: - composite plates made by special fusion method offering significant advantages in terms of lowest dilution level, highest concentration of carbides and superlative wear resistance property.

b. X’tralife NM Wear Plate are new millennium plates made for improved wear resistance over X’tralife wear plate

c. X’traslim Wear Plates are developed for application where weight addition is a limitation

d. XL-Clad Tube is the latest addition to MPD motto of launching innovative modular solutions to counter wear in core sector industry.

e. X’tra-Abra is developed through a special process in which special hardfacing powders in liquid form are applied to a required thickness on steel surface, after which they are fused in a furnace under controlled temperature.

f. X’trasafe armour plates are developed for security application. It is both torch and drill resistant as per need of security industry.

2. CASTING PRODUCTS

a. Bi-Metallic Casting – MPD represents Hardtop, Germany for their revolutionary Bi-mettalic castings.

b. X’tracast MPD offers special white iron cast alloys to resist abrasion and impact.

c. X’trahard is a combination of high chromium white iron metallurgically bonded to a mild steel backing plate.

3. CERAMICS

XL-AR is a apecially developed alumina ceramic composite having alumina between 85-95% as per required suitable for wearresistant lining

X’TRACRETE Ceramic Composite Compound is a generic for cementations wear protection materials.

4. X’TRALIFE TREATMENT

MPD division has a full fledged workshop in Baroda, India which has expertise in following jobs using our own flux cored wires. (can handle upto 35 MT weight presently)

5. SPECIAL PRODUCTS

A) X’TRALIFE BURNER TIP special high temperature base on which complex carbide cladding is done is used to fabricate burner tips for power plants with extended life up to 2-3 times of conventional SS 310/309 tips..

B) X’TRALIFE SCREENS cladded screens with complex chromium or chromium Boride after life extension up to 6-8 times compared to normal screens. Power applications are in sinter, coke or coal cladding.
